Main Presentation:

HTML5 and MVC3

– Dale Kirby (Geocent)
This presentation will offer an introduction to some of the key concepts of both HTML5 and MVC3. Both HTML5 and MVC3 are starting to be adopted more and more for professional business systems. Both platforms offer clean and robust ways to deliver solutions that work, and with the increased adoption developers will want to leverage these tools in their software. Dale will show examples of both HTML5 and MVC3 features with code samples and discuss the advantages and usefulness of some of the interesting aspects of each technology.

Dale Kirby is an seasoned business systems architect with 12 years of experience in the design, implementation and rollout of major technology initiatives. He has played a principal role in creating complex solutions for businesses and organizations including professional sports, insurance underwriting, maritime industry, manufacturing, homeland security, emergency management and disaster mitigation.

Dale has worked throughout a broad spectrum of system environments with various architectures and software stacks. His cross-platform abilities are instrumental in bringing together diverse resources and creating robust solutions. Some of his focus areas include Microsoft .NET, ESRI ArcGIS, ASP.NET web applications and services, SharePoint, and others.

Windows Embedded Overview

– Bruce Burge (St. James Technologies)
Briefly we will cover the benefits of required resource reduction, customization options and configuration, version comparisons (MS vs layman) and close with when you would use it, and the hassles of liscening the product.

Bruce Burge. For the last eleven years I’ve worked as a software developer, and consultant in a wide range of businesses, primarily focusing on small businesses and startups. Currently I am working at St. James Technologies where I serve primarily as a software developer, I also spend a fair amount of time researching, and testing new technologies ranging from ORMs to Operating Systems.
