This eliminates the process of writing tedious SQL code or even building and maintaining an ORM model. OOBDMSs further resolve object-relational impedance mismatch concerns. This presentation will showcase basic features of OODBMSs using the db4o database engine. Speaker: Jeremy Rabalais BIO: Company: Ultix Technologies Jeremy Rabalais holds a computer science degree from LSU. Jeremy has been developing enterprise software for over 12 years and has been worked with .NET since beta 1 of the 1.0 release. Jeremy has been a consultant and principal at Ultix Technologies for 6 years. Ultix Technologies is pioneering a custom enterprise application platform called the Ultix CorePlatform. Jeremy has worked extensively in both web and windows development and is currently working in ASP.NET MVC. Topic: Behavior Driven Development using SpecFlow Overview: Behavior Driven Development (BDD) is an agile software development methodology much like Test Driven Development (TDD) but with an emphasis on software behavior and having test cases expressed in natural language allowing better collaboration among the whole team, including stake holders and QA. SpecFlow is a Visual Studio extension for implementing BDD in .NET that utilizes the Gherkin feature language popularized in Cucumber (a Ruby BDD tool). The presentation will highlight the advantages to using BDD that go beyond the benefits inherent in TDD, including making it easier to sell your client/manager on the extra up-front time that is required for TDD. Speaker: Michael Melancon BIO: Company: Ultix Technologies Michael Melancon has been involved with creating several application development platforms as well as providing consulting services and custom software development. Michael started in Java but moved to C# when .NET 1.0 was released. Michael is the chief architect and a principal at Ultix Technologies.
